Thus, I treat everyone with the utmost respect and try to explain the process so the litigants understand the benefits of mediation. I appreciate briefs and when available and appropriate I ask the attorneys for additional information. I find that the more prepared that I am, the more comfortable the litigants are with the process, and the more successful the mediation.
