Current Practice & Professional History (Temp Judge Exp):
Administrative Law Judge-California Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board. Conduct all aspects of hearings including management of proceeding, determine order of witnesses and other evidence, examine witnesses, and issue written decisions on employee and employer appeals to EDD determinations relating to unemployment, disability and tax disputes. Pre-hearing ADR conducted on tax matters. Conduct more than 1000 cases per year requiring ability to quickly and accurately identify essential issues, respectfully but firmly managed the varied parties, representatives and personalities appearing in the hearings.

Depending on the needs of the parties and the type of the dispute I incorporate both an evaluative and facilitative approach to dispute resolution.
Briefs & Other:
Briefs should be provided at least 1 day in advance of mediation. The briefs should concisely identify procedural history, issues, and settlement discussions. Briefs may be exchanged between parties at the sole discretion of the parties.
Fee Information:
$300 per hour
My rate per day is $2,200.00; my rate per half-day is $1,500.00; I negotiate my rates with the litigants/attorneys; Reduced rates and pro bono considered.
Locations:
Western Region (Riverside, Corona, Moreno Valley); Mid-County Region (Southwest, Temecula, Hemet, Banning); at the facilities of one of the parties' counsel or other appropriate facilities in these areas.
