Have practiced for forty plus years as a trial attorney in State and Federal Court, specializing in personal injury, product liability, public entity, construction, contract, environmental, real property, general business litigation and general civil litigation.  Have tried in excess of 100 jury cases representing both plaintiff and defense litigants. Have been elected to and been a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) since 1983: served as a Chapter President, on its State Board and on its National Board. Have represented parties before governmental boards, agencies and commissions. Experienced as a Judge Pro Tem / Temporary Judge.  Have served regularly as a Judge Pro Tem / Temporary Judge for the Riverside Superior Court since 2006. Arbitration Approach:
Both facilitative and evaluative.  To provide assistance to the parties to facilitate their arrival at a collaborative resolution of the matters in controversy.  Use generally accepted, and as appropriate uniquely tailored to the parties' needs approaches.  My preference is to conduct facilitative mediation giving the parties the opportunity to arrive at a collaborative resolution.  Evaluative mediation services are provided on request, or, as appears necessary and appropriate to the circumstances.
Briefs & Other:
Briefs should include a statement of case, status of prior settlement negotiations, each party's legal position and substantiation/authorities, and each party's suggested resolution.

Mediation information and documents will be sent to the parties prior to first meeting.  Contact may be made with counsel and/or unrepresented parties in advance of first meeting to insure preparation for and attendance by all necessary participants at mediation.

Rate Per Hour: $$300.00

Rate Per Half Day: $$900.00

Rate Per Day: $$1,800.00

$350 per hour
Rate per day: $2,800; Rate per half-day: $1,400; I negotiate my rates with the litigants/attorneys; reduced rates considered.
Locations:
Western Region (Riverside, Corona, Moreno Valley, etc.): Mid-County Region (Southwest, Temecula, Hemet, Banning, Beaumont, etc.); at the office of the mediator; at the facilities of one of the parties’ counsel or other appropriate facilities.
