Arbitration Approach:
I have conducted several "virtual" mediations via Zoom and am very comfortable with that platform. I am flexible. I have employed the extremes of evaluative and facilitative in my experience, depending upon the needs of the case. Initially, I take the guidance of counsel and adapt my style as I find appropriate as the mediation continues.
Briefs & Other:
I prefer short, informal general briefs to be submitted to me a week before mediation when possible. I strongly prefer that the actual parties and decision makers be present at the mediation, but with the stipulation of all parties, will occasionally accept availability of out of town, non party, decision makers by phone as long as they are actually available. I require the participants to share specific information about monetary and alleged general damages. In cases involving medical expenses and liens, it is necessary the parties (particularly plaintiff) have documentary evidence of all paid and unpaid bills, private and government liens, insurance adjustments and lost income. I am willing to adjourn a progressing mediation to reconvene at another date if appropriate.
Fee Information:
$400 per hour
I have a 4 hr. minimum. My rate per day is $3,000.00; my rate per half day is $1,600.00; reduced rates considered; $400 non-refundable reservation fee applied to first 4 hr. minimum if engaged.
Locations:
Western Region (Riverside, Corona, Moreno Valley); Mid-County Region (Southwest, Temecula, Hemet, Banning); Other Inland areas as needed. C.A.M.S. has mediation facilities in Rancho Cucamonga also; at the facilities of counsel or other appropriate facilities in these areas.
