I was the managing partner at what was then Bonne, Jones, Mueller, et al. I ran the Orange County Office. Subsequently I was of counsel with Baker, Silverberg and Keener. Since I have been in a solo practice, I have been co-counsel with Joe Thielen of what was then Theilen and Burke on several complex cases and trials. In addition, I have taught the paralegal course at Chapman University as well as taught several in-house courses on discovery and the art of trial. I have acted as an independent claims analyst for State Farm and was on the Loss Prevention Task Force Team for Farmers Insurance.
I try to listen for the intangibles and solve the problem by thinking outside the proverbial box and finding any solution that works for both sides. Since I have litigated on the plaintiff's side as well as the defense, I believe I can understand where the parties and their attorneys are coming from.
