Arbitration Approach:
I allow the parties to conduct the arbitration by either offer of proof, submission of briefs with argument, or full arbitration proceeding, whichever is appropriate for the case. I review carefully all testimony, all written evidence submitted and prepare statement of decision to encourage the parties to settle the case based on the arbitration decision. I do not "split the baby" in arbitrations. Plaintiffs have to carry their burden of proof.
Briefs & Other:
Briefs are appreciated at least one day before the matter is set for arbitration. They can be mailed, faxed or e-mailed to arrive in timely manner. Exhibits may be brought to the arbitration.
